Exodynamic processes play an important role in the territorial planning of urban areas. These include suffusion and flooding, which are widely present in Cheboksary. Data on the comprehensive assessment of the impact of exodynamic processes on territorial planning and urban design are lacking, as various authors have studied individual aspects of this topic. This explains the relevance of the study. The purpose of our research is to explore exodynamic processes within the city. The study was conducted during field visits to key sites and based on the interpretation of satellite images using the SASPlanet and GoogleEarth software packages. The cartographic material was prepared in GIS Axiom. A significant spread of flooding zones was found in the Trans-Volga region, as well as in the valleys of small rivers in Cheboksary. The highest number of potential cases of suffusion was identified in the Moscovsky district of Cheboksary. In places where the springs are in good condition, the suffusion is less pronounced. When comparing the cartographic data on the distribution of suffusion and flooding, it was found that the largest number of the studied key sites are located in the Moscovsky district of the Cheboksary. This is where measures for engineering protection against exodynamic processes should be primarily carried out due to a large concentration of multi-storey buildings and structures. The results of the study can be useful in urban planning of Cheboksary.
